condition

We only sell authentic luxury handbags and leather goods in new or beautiful (very carefully selected ) pre-loved or pre-owned condition. However it is useful to remember if you are purchasing a preowned item, there may be a degree of individual character on various bags, dependant upon age, level of usage and leather or fabric type.  See our 3 pre-loved levels of condition at the top of this page.

A degree of character on luxury leathers really adds to the provenance of your truly authentic pre-owned handbag, for example darwin leather by Mulberry is a vegetable tanned product, designed to gain an exceptional vintaged appearance over time, it is also susceptible to light water spotting from rain etc. This type of leather may therefore display characteristical qualities through even the most gentle usage and a bag which has been used for some time may have gained a rich vintaged patina.

On each individual selling page to the bottom left hand side you will find one of our 3 pre-loved categories of condition (as at the top of this page) which will refer specifically to the level of condition of the item in question. By clicking on the condition link on the selling page you can refer to back to this page for reference at any time.

sub categories

We have also applied two sub categories for reference

(vint) = vintage and often collectible & (rare) = hard to find and /or collectible

The vint and rare abbreviations will often be applied alongside one of the main categories. When you see pre (rare) on the item description page this denotes a pre-loved and hard to find or collectible item.  An item with new (vint) means this is a new (never used) vintage item etc.
