mulberry black congo leather ballet style vanity case

A beautiful rare vintage mulberry vanity case or beauty bag. Designed in the traditional ballet case style, this is an absolute classic peice of vintage hand luggage which can be used as a stylish retro everyday bag! Crafted from stunning glossy black congo leather and featuring solid brass hardware and a removeable hand mirror, this luxurious case is the perfect compact and stylish travel companion. The case is carried by a single semi rigid leather top handle and secures with a locking clasp. Internally it is lined in traditional mulberry tree embroidered satin, with a wipe clean base. There is a removeable pouch with various pockets, whilst fixed around the internal perimeter there are various elasticated pockets so to accomodate cosmetics and bottles. The front of the case has a raised logo blason oval plaque, and attached to the handle by two leather laces are the brass authentication fob and the clochette which houses the key to secure the lock. There are four sturdy brass feet to the base.

condition: gently loved with minimal signs of use including slight discolouration to the glass of the hand mirror, which is a characteristic of many of the Mulberry hand mirrors from this era of production.
