A beautiful rare vintage mulberry vanity or beauty case. Designed in the traditional gladstone or doctors bag style, this is an absolute classic peice of vintage hand luggage. Crafted from stunning glossy black congo leather and featuring solid brass hardware, this gorgeous case is the perfect compact travel companion. The front of the case has a raised logo blason oval plaque, whilst the rear has a removeable crest shaped leather luggage tag with the circular brass authentication fob. Tied around the handle anchor is a leather clochette which holds a brass key, though unfortunately the original padlock is no longer with this bag. The bag is carried by two rolled leather handles which can be securely joined at the top by a leather studded strap. The interior is lined in traditional mulberry tartan cotton, with a wipe clean base. Around the internal perimeter there are various pockets whilst a leather strap runs horizontally along one side so to accomodate bottles. The top edge is framed and when unzipped the sides can be popped open for ease of access. There are four sturdy brass feet to the base.
